Freak Show

I was in downtown Indy a couple of years ago for the Indy-Mini cheering for some of my fellow Career Class members. There was a Star Wars convention going on at the same time as the race and it was not uncommon to see people dressed up in complete costume. I remember thinking to myself...They're such a freak! Who would dress up as Darth Vader and go to a convention??? but then I realized people probably think I'm a freak too by the things I get excited/passionate about. We are a world filled with freaks!!! I'm a freak, you're a freak!!

So Chris G....this is for you!

*I love pictures! I love to be able to flip through a photo album and see the faithfulness of God through providing friends and family to share this life with. Just ask Melissa E the extent I will go to in getting the "perfect picture"!!

*I love to organize! I take pride in having my CD's in alphabetical order within their genre. My clothes in my closet are neatly seperated into short-sleaved shirts, long sleaved shirts, skirts, pants, etc.

*I love to make lists. I get great satisfaction being able to cross something off after it's completed. I sometimes have lists of lists...ok, just kidding.

*I love relationships! I enjoy getting to know people past the surface level. It intrigues me how people relate and the different personalities types. It's amazing to me how different we all are but, we're still able to communicate and relate!!

*I love being a girl! I love shopping, shoes, purses, and the color pink!

No way!!!

My day started out with my boss calling me at 7:30 this AM telling me the office was closed and not to come in...what?? I told her this day would go down in history!! SF NEVER closes their offices! I was so excited to have a snow day!!!

Chris and I thought it would be wise to start shoveling the snow early in the morning so we wouldn't have to shovel out 10 feet at once. We were about 1/4 way done with our driveway when we saw this HUGE Catepillar tractor coming down our cul-de-sac clearing the road. I told Chris and was completely kidding..."maybe we should ask them to clear our driveway?" ha ha ha. I stood in our driveway waving emphatically and pointed to our driveway with a big smile on my face (as if it was a joke). Next thing we know...The Catepillar tractor is in our driveway!!! Chris and I were shocked!! We totally did not think they would do it and of course I had to take a picture!! How cool of God; you ask for a snow plow and He gives you a Catepillar tractor!!
